Miscellaneous Musings of Mockery

This last week has been glorious! Spring is in the air! Esmeralda is taking steps! New furniture is arriving on Saturday! The NCAA tournament starts Wednesday! There is so much good, that I regret I must rant.

I hate the University of North Carolina Tarheels.

I saw a police officer put his four year old daughter in the front seat of his cruiser. It appeared that she was sitting in a booster seat. I'm pretty sure it is advised that no child sit in the front seat until they weigh 70-80 lbs. The girl weighed no more than 30 lbs. If he airbag were to deploy, she would be seriously injured or maybe killed. Plus, from what I understand, civilians are not supposed to be passengers in a police car, unless they are prisoners. I guess this cop isn't trying protect and serve his own flesh and blood. It's a pity.

The daycare has a one-way traffic loop around the building. Everyday, whether picking-up or dropping-off, parents are entering the wrong way. Someone is always in a hurry. A collision is inevitable.

I hate the unc tarheels.

Last week was part one of the FDOG. Teachers were instructed not to take their classes anywhere until they received a school-wide message, so as not to disturb any classes that may still be testing. It makes sense to me. Everyday, I heard some kind of ruckus outside the room where I was proctoring. Idiot teachers simply didn't pay attention to their instructions, nor could they control their misbehaving children. And they expect their students to follow instructions when they can’t? Ridiculous!

CNN has had the McCartney-Mills divorce settlement as the top story for most of the morning. Why is that headline news? Isn't there something else in the world that is bigger news? How about some uplifting news for a change? I'd almost rather read about the war or election than that celebrity tabloid fodder. Can anyone tell me why the hell she gets $50 million? Is she the fifth Beatle?

In November, I invited my Clemson friends, Russ included, to come to Florida for the NCAA tournament. They could come to town and we could make the long haul to Tampa to see college basketball at its finest. It's been a while since I've seen basketball live. A few years ago I was supposed to go see the ACC tournament, but instead I decided to get scarlet fever. Anywho, the response was pathetic. (Russ was obviously a "no" due to his wife being due in due time.) Now, the Clemson Tigers are playing the first round in Tampa and we have to scramble to make plans. Grrrr..aaarrrggg. They should have committed to going three months ago!

I hate the tarholes.

Oh yeah, Clemson lost to that team again. It was a good game, and in my mind, it was actually officiated fairly. Maybe next year?
