Leaving on a Jet Plane, by Russ

No not me. The Wife. Again. I guess that would be another reason why we should have stayed home last weekend, huh? I don't know which is better/worse. Is getting up later and being able to see your children for a couple of hours before having to say good bye to them better. Or is just getting up in the dark of night and leave without having to looking into our son's soulful brown eyes or our daughter's bright blue eyes and say good bye better? Thankfully, I've never had to contemplate it for real.

So she left. She'll be back on Friday for dinner. Looks like I picked the wrong week to attempt potty training.

In an effort to look on the bright side of life (now I've got that song in my head), heaven on earth will be in Charlotte this Saturday! That's right, our annual Beer, Bourbon, and BBQ festival is coming! Jasper and cIII (they have a cigar tent, so Mike come on east) head on over to the queen city.
