I don' t know if you have heard, but ABC is bringing back the mini-series "V". This fills me with many smiles! I loved that fool show as I was growing up. It was also a show that my Dad and I watched together. Outside of sports, we didn't watch many things together.
After watching a couple of the trailers, it looks like they are taking it seriously. By that I mean that it is not a simple rehash of the story, kitch and all. It is like how SciFi Channel re-envisioned Battle Star Galactica. They took a silly, over the top series and recreated it into a pretty good series that tackled many current topics (racism, religion, workers rights, and torture to name a few). Sure it was just a little melodramtic, just a little, but it was a good story and it moved along at a pretty good clip.
Anywho, I am hoping that ABC does the same with V. I have my fingers crossed.

That show freaked me out when I was a Kid.
More even than the Flying Monkeys from Wizard of Oz.

cIII, it was one of the few shows that I watched with my Dad as a youth. We both just about rolled over laughing when the girl gave birth to the "twins". The lizard baby was wild, but when the "human" had a forked tongue, it was all over!
The mini series was better than the regular TV show that came on after that.
I am utterly lost. Typical.
That's ok Laggin, I think it is a guy thing.
He he ... I'm really looking forward to the re-work of this show too!!! I loved the original!
