Unfortunately it's not the fun kind of travel day. I get to load two sick kids, Miss L has green slime pouring from her nose and Mr B just started with the sniffles this morning, in the car and head out to the out-laws.
Joy.
So we will get there about supper time, if we're lucky it won't be raining, and the kids will get to play for an hour or so before bath and bed. Saturday, the wife and I scored a lunch date (so all is not lost), but we have to hurry back. The out-laws have a wedding to go to in the afternoon. So the kids will be asleep before they get back. Then on Sunday, we are leaving after church.
So the Wife and I are subjecting ourselves to seven plus hours in the car with two sick kids (no not the swine flu, just a cold) so the out-laws can see them for twelve hours or so?
Yep, that's my happy hat. On the positive side, if there is one, the MIL said that she bought me some bourbon. I hope you'll have a better weekend than I will. (Mine won't be awful, but I can think of more pleasant ways to spend two days.)
Reasons.

I'm sorry, but why go if they're going to a wedding that weekend? Why not go another time?
You see your in-laws more than I do and mine only live a half hour away!
do you relaize how many blogs you start oput with green slime pouring out of their nose, butt erars, eyes/???????/?
I'm a whore for Bourbon as well.
cIII, let me assure you that she didn't spring for Four Roses, Basil Hayden, or anything in that price point. That said, at least she was thinking of me.
Any port in a Storm, Russ. Any port in a Storm.
I wouldn't go. I'd use the kids as an out for that one. SciFi Dad is right. The time ratio w/the wedding makes it so not worth it.
