The house is finally put back together. Sure lots of seems are still visable, I mean there is only so much that drywall tape and mud can fix, but at least the pipes are not exposed and the half bath downstairs is fully operational.
Interesting new quirk. The cold water line is now above the slab, not below, so with the southern summer/heat wave the cold water is hotter than the hot water. At least initially it is, until the line gets flushed, then things are back to normal.
Speaking of the new cold water line, I'm not all the way done yet. I still need to insulate and cover the exposed line. I'm looking for some sort of soffit to make it less obvious than a blue pipe snaking along the wall. My first thought was some sort of cord cover, but I haven't found anything that would cover the half inch pipe. I'll keep searching, the internet is a wonderful tool.
Go ahead....

I bet you don't want me to say anything about maintenance free living, do you?
Hot water colder than cold water?
Wow.
It never ends, does it?
I have a terrible feeling my Mrs is going to start hinting about refurbs soon. The pain never ends
No Leslie, not really. I might redirect your comment to the Mrs. though...
