Not happy, by Russ

I did manage to get school paid for, with minimum hassle at that.  So that went well yesterday. 

What is not going well for me, is Miss L.  She is her same loving self.  Always up for some 'nuggles and quick to giggle.  But something has changed.

She has been fully potty trained for the summer.  Sure she had some accidents from time to time, but they were infrequent and, by and large, an anomaly.  Starting Sunday things changed.

I took the kids to a birthday party (The Wife sat this one out, or she stayed home to continue cleaning. However you want to look at it.).  Best three year old party ever, beer and wine was served!  (To the adults, kids got juice boxes.)  And there in the middle of the living room, Miss L stops and squats and pees on the floor.

Thank you, I needed the embarrassment.  It has been a while since I have been red faced in someone else's house.  Thankfully, they were already serving alcohol.

Then both Monday and Tuesday saw Miss L not make it to the potty two or three times each day.  In fact, she was missing more than she was making.  One of the instances, she was in the bathroom brushing her teeth standing next to the potty. 

What am I to do?  Jasper (yes, he is still alive) suggested that I give her a bell or noise maker for her to use when she feels the need to pee arise.  Were she just coming out of diapers, I could see the benefit of associating doing something external when the need to pee arises.  However, she has been fully potty trained for months now and just is regressing for no discernible reason. 

I have put her back into pull ups telling her that they need to stay dry to earn her panties back.  I am going so far as to purchase her new panties to be the proverbial carrot.
