Enough! by Russ

Dear Mother Nature,

Enough with the rain already!  All the last half of last week and over the weekend.  (The weekend was supposed to be "scattered showers", five inches later...)  Add to that rain every day this week (so far) and the backyard is a full on swamp now.

The downspouts need to be cleaned out and I can't get to them because you won't let the ground dry out, and I'm not going to climb up two stories on sodden earth.  I've got a little thing about pain and not dying.

All of the grass seed has been kept good and moist, at least what hasn't washed away.  The rest of the grass is growing like made and I can't cut it because it is too wet.

So again, the kids want to go outside and play (and I want them to do so).  Yard is a swamp.  Downspouts need to be cleaned.  And the lawn needs to be mowed.  Please stop raining.
